The Holy Word is God's Word: Because it is inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. The Holy Word is the oldest and most important book in the world. It is important not because of its, but its content. It is God's word and came to us by inspiration (11Peter 1:21 "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit). Thus, any study of our new life in Christ must begin on the foundation of Scripture. Christ is the centre of all Scripture. John 5:39 "Search the scripture for in them you think you have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me, Jesus said). The old statement books forward to the coming of Jesus. Luke 24: 25-27 "then Jesus said to his two unbelieving disciples who's still not believing that Jesus Christ rose from the dead after 3 days! "O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into His glory? And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, He expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself. The new testament tells how Christ fulfilled the Law and the Prophets. Hebrews 1:1,2 "God Who at sundry times and in divers manner spoke in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, had in last days spoken unto us by His SonWhom He had appointed Heir of all things, by Whom also He made the worlds;...Jesus Christ became the Living Word. John 1:1-5 "In the beginning was The Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.The Holy Word says of God, He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions Psalms 107:20. Many books tell of man's search for God. Only the Bible tells of God's search for man. When man willfully sinned and tarnished his innocent nature, God did not leave him where he deserved to be left. Rather, God sought out man desiring to reconcile man to Himself. Throughout all the Bible we see God seeking man which ultimately leads to Christ on the cross paying the supreme price so man could be saved. The Holy Word is God's Book, telling this warm and wonderful truth that man can again have fellowship with God and have everlasting life through Jesus Christ. God's Book contains the words of life!
